LETTER FROM THE EDITOR
With the new year has come a change in location. I'm now located here in Salt Lake City among the many marvelous genealogical records. Things have been so busy that little time for research has been found, but several new projects are under way including the writing with Johni Cerny, editor of the SOURCE, two new digests. One will concern First Families of America and the second will contain records of immigrant families to the United States.
Other projects are under consideration, but more about those when things are finalized.
Johni and I conducted a seminar for the Seattle, (WA) Genealogical Society in January and have one in Denver and two in Southern California booked for early March. In May I will be involved with the California State Genealogical Alliance Seminar in Fresno, then will travel to Ohio to speak at the National Genealogical Society Seventh Annual Convention. A busy year is already in the making.

In Arkansas Pensioner 1818-1900 compiled by Dorothy E. Payne, on
page 137 under the file for Thomas Poe TERRELL for the War of 1812 pension application is the information that Thomas Poe TERRELL married Ann JACKSON on 4 Sept 1824 and that their oldest daughter was Margaret Jane BOYETT. This family resided first in Chesterfield District, SC where they were married. In 1833 they moved to Sumter Co., AL, and in 1844 moved to Union Co., AR. By 1858 the family was residing in Ashley Co., AR. In the pension statement Margaret Jane BOYETT stated "that she had no brother or sister, living in the State of Arkansas, and that she was married in the year 1841."
