GUESS CEMETERY
Attala County Note: This section of Attala County in Mississippi, was first settled in the early 1840's. In checking the land records of that county, to lcoate the cemetery, I found that in October, 1840, Zeb B. GUESS made an original entry for the SW1/4 (Certificate *31270). The DICKERSON families did not apply for land until Oct. 10, 1853 (SEl/4). James DICKERSON buried his wife, Nancy, here in Jan. 1862 and he was buried in 1870. These are the two oldest graves that have markers, to give us authentic records. Mrs. Frank Hollingsworth.
