60. David Edward⁵ Rodes (John⁶, Frederick (Rode)⁷ Rhodes, Anthony (Roth)⁸) was born Rockingham Co., VA 5/26/1837. David died 7/16/1917 Rockingham Co., VA, at 80 years of age. His body was interred after 7/16/1917 Early Cemetary, Rockingham Co., VA.

He married twice. He married Frances Lineweaver New Erection, VA, 2/28/1867. Frances was born 6/30/1845. Frances was the daughter of Jacob Lineweaver and Catherine Falls. Frances died 3/30/1887 Rockingham Co., VA, at 41 years of age. Her body was interred after 3/30/1887 Early Cemetary, Rockingham Co., VA. At 22 years of age Frances became the mother of Elizabeth Catherine Rodes 1/31/1868. At 23 years of age Frances became the mother of John Henry Rodes Rockingham Co., VA, 6/16/1869. At 25 years of age Frances became the mother of Mary Frances Rodes 4/10/1871 or 4/16/1871. At 30 years of age Frances became the mother of Annie E. Rodes 9/11/1875. At 32 years of age Frances became the mother of Jacob William (Will) Rodes 3/25/1878. At 36 years of age Frances became the mother of David Edward II Rodes 11/11/1881. He married Margaret J. Rhodes Driver Rockingham Co., VA, 3/12/1891. Margaret was born 10/14/1843. Margaret was the daughter of Frederick A. Rhodes and Magdalena Heatwole. Margaret died 11/30/1899 at 56 years of age. Her body was interred Mt. Clinton Cemetary.

At 30 years of age David became the father of Elizabeth Catherine Rodes 1/31/1868. At 32 years of age David became the father of John Henry Rodes Rockingham Co., VA, 6/16/1869. At 33 years of age David became the father of Mary Frances Rodes 4/10/1871 or 4/16/1871. At 38 years of age David became the father of Annie E. Rodes 9/11/1875. At 40 years of age David became the father of Jacob William (Will) Rodes 3/25/1878. At 44 years of age David became the father of David Edward II Rodes 11/11/1881.

David Edward Rodes and Frances Lineweaver had the following children:

61 i. Elizabeth Catherine⁴ Rodes was born 1/31/1868. Elizabeth died 4/4/1870 at 2 years of age.

+ 27 ii. John Henry Rodes was born 6/16/1869.

62 iii. Mary Frances Rodes was born 4/10/1871 or 4/16/1871. Mary died 3/25/1949 at 77 years of age. She married Henry Edward "Ed" Heatwole 12/6/1894. Henry was born 8/23/1870. Henry was the son of Gabriel D. Heatwole and Lydia Frank. Henry died 12/12/1954 at 84 years of age. His body was interred after 12/12/1954 Pleasant View Mennonite Church, Dayton, VA. At 25 years of age Henry became the father of Dessie May Heatwole 7/8/1896. At 28 years of age Henry became the father of Fannie Belle Heatwole 1/14/1899. At 35 years of age Henry became the father of Hazel Marie Heatwole 5/7/1906.

At 25 years of age Mary became the mother of Dessie May Heatwole 7/8/1896. At 27 years of age Mary became the mother of Fannie Belle Heatwole 1/14/1899. At 35 years of age Mary became the mother of Hazel Marie Heatwole 5/7/1906.

63 iv. Annie E. Rodes was born 9/11/1875. Annie died 5/10/1881 at 5 years of age.

64 v. Jacob William (Will) Rodes was born 3/25/1878. Jacob died 7/27/1961 Illinois, at 83 years of age.

65 vi. David Edward II Rodes was born 11/11/1881. David died 11/11/1881 at less than one year of age.
