Gresley parish, Burton-upon-Trent Registration District:
Enumeration
Districts 2 & 3. "All that part of the township of
Church Gresley which lies to the west of the public highway or village
street of Church Gresley [extend]ing from Swadlincote until the said highway
nearly at right angles enters the Turnpike Road leading from Wooden Box
to Linton or Gresley Common and also such part of the said Township as
lies to the North of the said Turnpike Road leading from Wooden Box to
Linton after the junction of the said Highway and Turnpike Road on the
said Common." Very kindly transcribed by Gill

said Highway nearly at Right Angles enters the Turnpike Road Leading from
Wooden Box to Linton and also all such Part of the Township of Church Gresley
as lies to the North of the said Turnpike leading from Wooden Box to Linton
- (Including Harthcote, Gresley Hall and Catchems Inn)". Enumerator: James
