Weather fine. During night a "Stand-to" to move at 1 hours notice was
received. The O.C. and 2nd in Command with available Section Officers proceeded
to look over a new area. Company preparing for a move. |
Villers au Bois |
23 |
Weather fine. At 9 a.m. Stand to orders called for move at 15 minutes
notice. Company being duty company were employed at Fatigues and cleaning
up camp generally. Company paraded at 4 p.m. Marched off at 4 p.m. and
proceeded to Villers-au-Bois via Bouvigny and Servins. Camp was reached
at 7.30 p.m. and Company remained for night. |

Weather fine. Company paraded at 7.45 am. And embussed in camp at 8
a.m. then proceeded via Mt. St. Eloy, La Targette and Aux Rietz to billets
at A.22.c.6.4 near Lens-Arras Rd. arriving at 11.30 a.m. Transport moved
by road following same route, marching off at 7 a.m. and arriving at noon.
During afternoon Section Officers explored Line and Positions. |

Weather fine. Company standing to preparatory for move. A/Major C.V.
Grantham proceeded to join 1st Cdn. M.G. Bn on posting. Lt. Richard Edmunds
reported for duty on Posting. A/Capt. G.W.H. Millican assumed command of
the Company. |

Weather fine. Company standing to from Reveille at 4.30 a.m. Company
remained at Stand to till 9 p.m. when company paraded in full marching
order. Moved off at 9 p.m. and gradually joined the 2nd Canadian Division
on the line of March. |

skirting Arras and striking the main Arras-Doullens Road at Dainville thence
to Beaumetz and proceeding to Berles-au-Bois via Bailleulval and Bailleulmont.
Company was settled in billets by 6 a.m. After resting some hours Company
stood to for a move if nevcessary. |

positions in Purple Defence Line with Headquarters at R.18.a.3.2. Transport
