[WILL]
In the name of God Amen. I Thomas Cooper of Church Gresley in the country of Derby. Farmer and parish clerk do make this my last will and testament in
manner and form following.

VIZ-I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife Catherine Cooper all my Goods, Chattels and effects of what nature and kind so ever an where soever
they shall be situated at the time of my death and I give devise and bequeath to my said wife Catherine Cooper an John Hufton Farmer an Michael Talbot school master both of Church Gresley aforesaid interest and for the use and benefit of my said wife and children John Cooper Eliza Elizabeth Cooper and Thomas Cooper any estate share of portion of any estate to which I am entitled by the last will and testament of my late uncle John Woodward and also I give (devise) and bequeath to my wife and John Hufton aforesaid all my money money payable now or at any future time being the amount of any legacy or legacies or being the proceeds of the sale of any seam or seams of coal being or lying under the above mentioned estate and to which I am entitled and may at a future time become "holsebed" or from any other source whatever and I give directions to "and order" My said wife Catherine Cooper and John Hufton to appropriate and pay out of the said sum or sums of money all my just debits and funeral expenses and I also direct and empower them my said wife and John Hufton to pay out of the above monies any sum or sums that may be required to put out as apprentices to a respectable trade and to establish in such trade when they came to proper age they or both of my sons "???" due from the above mentioned sums of money previous or subsequent to the payment of the several sums required for the above stated purposes be required for the above stated purposes be regularly regularly paid and received by my said wife during the term of her natural life and after her death to be divided into equal shares and paid to my said children John Cooper, Elizabeth Cooper and Thomas cooper share alike in to whomsoever of them may survive her and I do hereby nominate constute and appoint my said wife Catherine Cooper and John Hufton executrix and executor of this my last will and testament inivitnefo whereof I the said Thomas Cooper have set my hand and seal this 12th Day of October in the year of our load one thousands Eight Hundred and forty two.
