[Text of Will]
I Thomas Tetley of Hartshorn in the County of Derby Potter do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and Form Following, that is to say, First my mind is that all my Just Debts and funeral Expenses be fully paid and satisfied, I give to my Son in Law John Hood of Nottingham Taylor the Sum of One Shilling Also I give to my Daughter Elizabeth Hood the Wife of the said John Hood the Sum of One Pound Also I give and devise all my Household Goods, Debts, Ready money, Securities for money and all the Remainder of my Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever at Hartshorn aforesaid or elsewhere after Payment of my Just Debts Funeral Expenses and Legaties to my Loving Wife Elizabeth Tetley and her heirs for ever Also I give and Devise the House wherein I live at Hartshorn with the Backside or Croft thereto adjoining the Garden and Outbuildings thereto belonging And Also all that Close known by the name of the Sriewell Close lying at Hartshorn aforesaid together with all rights thereto belonging unto my said Loving Wife Elizabeth Tetley and her heirs for ever Lastly I do hereby appoint my said Wife Elizabeth Tetley Solo Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament revoking all former and other Wills by me heretofore made and Excuted In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Eighth day of June One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Nine.

Signed sealed published and declared by the above named Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who Subscribed our Names as Witnesses thereto In his sight and presence.

Notes: Not known when or where Thomas was born, but I believe he married 12 May 1728 at Hartshorn to Elizabeth Tetley, Thomas Tetley is described as of Repton.  Lorraine Marshall.
