1749 Between George Brock Senr. of County of Albemarle of one part and
Kathrine his wife of other part Witnesseth that George Brock Senr. in
consideration of the Tender Love and affection which he the sd George
bear unto sd Katherine his wife as also for the better Maintenance &
Support of her hath given unto sd Katherine during her natural life all
my Estate, right & property of what nature or kind soever to the only
proper use & behoof of her sd Katherine during her natural life without
any troubl or denial from any persons lawfully claimng by from or under
me the said George Brock Senr. In Witness whereof sd George have set his

Remarks: It is not noted that
George Brock Senior used a mark to sign,
however it is shown that one of the
witensses used their mark. George Brock Senior of New Kent Co.
VA, later Albemarle, always signed with his mark GB or gB.
Although slight, it leaves some speculation as to if this is the George
Brock Senior of New Kent & Albemarle County. Of importance however
is the witness Patrick Napier. Patrick Napier was a witness to
George Brock Senior's Will.

But of Sound Since & memory Thanks be to Almighty God do make &
ordain this my last will & testament in manner & form
following first G princply I reccomend my soul in to the hands
of Almighty God that gave it hoping in & through the
merrits of my blessed saviour to recieve full pardon for
all my past sins & my body I commit to the Earth to be buried
at the discretion of my excutors hereafter to be named I as
touching such worldly goods as it hath pleased God to
Bless one with I give and bequeath as follows, First my will
is that all my Just debts be paid. Then i give & bequeath
my loven Grandson John Brock son of George Brock Junr my

This indenture made and
concluded this 3rd day of
February in the year of our Lord one
Thousand seven hundred forty eight nine.
Between George Brock of the County of
Albemar. And Thomas Bibey Sen. Of
Goochland County they both of the one
part & Humphry Parish Sen. Of Goochland
County of the other part. Witnesseth
that the aforesd Geo. Brock & Thos Bibey
Senr for the value Consideration of
Eleven pounds curt money to them in hand
paid the receipt whereof they Doth
hereby acknowledge and there with
themselves fully satisfied Hath
bargained sold aliened Granted enfeoffed
& confirmed & in & by these presents
doth Bargain sell alien grant Enfeoff &
confirm unto the aforesd Humphrey
Parrish Sen. His heirs and assigns
forever one tract or parcel of Land
Cituate lying & being in Goochland
County & on the East branches of Wild
Boar Creek & bounded as followeth to wit
Beginning at Chares Christians corner
Spanish oak within Louisa County line
thence a long a line of markt trees to a
black oak which divides the said Owens
Land thence a long the said dividing
line crossing the Louisa line to a
large pine on John Parrish's Land thence
a long the sd Parish's line to a corner
pine of the sd Parish's thens a long the
sd Parish's line to a corner pine of the
Land where Geo. Helton did live thence a
long the sd line corner pine of Chas.
Christian land thence a long the sd
Christians line to the place began at
and containing by Estimation one hundred
sixty two acres & a half of land be the
same more or less. To have and to hold
this aforesaid one hundred sixt two
acres & a half of Land to him the said
Humphry Parrish Senr his heirs &
assignes forever with all houses and
houses ways waters woods under woods
profits hereditaments appurtenances &
appendences whatsoever there unto
belonging on in any ways appertaining
and the said Geo Brock & Thos Bibey Senr
for themselves teir heirs & Doth further
conveant & agree that they the sd Geo
Brock & Thos Bibey Senr their heirs & c
shall & will forever Warrant & defend
the aforesd sold Land & Premises unto
the aforesd Humphry Parrish Senr & his
heirs forever ag. All persons & all
manner of claim whatever & to make any
other Deed or Deeds for the premises as
by the sd Geo. Brock & Thomas Bibey Senr
or their Councill learned in the Lan
shall be devised or required all the
Charge of the sd Humphry Parrish Senr In
Witness whereof the said Geo Brock &
Thos Bibey Senr hath hereunto set their
hands and affixed their seals the Day of

Deed with the Livery of Seizin endorsed
was proved by the Oaths of the Witnesses
hereto to be the Act & Deed of Geo Brock
and Thos Bibee which was ordered to be
recorded.

This Indenture made this
Twelfth day of July Anno Domni One
Thousand seven hundred forty two Between
James Owens of St. James Parrish of
Goochland County of one part and George
Brock of the same Parrish and County of
the other part Witneesseth the said
James Owns for and in consideration of
Seven pounds of Lawful money of Virginia
by him the said George Brock to him the
said James Owens in hand paid before the
Sealing and Delivery hereof the receipt
whereof the said James Owens Doth hereby
acknowledge and thereof doth acquit and
Discharge the said George Brock his
heirs Executors and Administrators &
doth grant Bargaind and Sold and by
these presents Doth Grant Bargain Sell
Enforse and Confirm unto the said George
Brock his heirs and assigns One certain
tract or parcel of Land lying and being
in the County aforesaid on the East
branches of Wilde Boar Creek and being
bounded as followeth to witt. Beginning
at Charles Christians corner of a
Spanish oak within Hanover County line
thence along a line of markt trees to a
black oak which Divides the said Owens
land thence along the said Dividing line
crossing the said Hanover line to a
large Pine on John Parrishs land thence
along the said Parrish's line to a
corner pine of George Hiltons line
thence along the said Christians line to
the plats begin at and containing by
estimation one hundred sixty two acres
and a half to the same more or less and
the revision and revisions remainder and
remainders rents _____ and profits
therof and of every part thereof with
the appurtenances to have and to hold
the said ______ plantation and tract of
land with the appurtenances unto the
said George Brock his heirs and assigns
to the only ___ and behoofs of the said
George Brock his heirs and assigns
forever and the said James Owens his
heirs Executors and Administrators the
said - __ossnans plantation and tract of
Land with the appurtenances unto him the
said George Brock his heirs and assigns
shall and will Warrant and forever stand
by these presents against the claim and
Demand of him the said James Owen his
heirs and assigns or any other person
whatsoever And the said James Owen for
himself his heirs Executors and
administrators doth _____ promise and
agree to and with the said George Brock
his heirs and assigns that the promises
and every part thereof are free and
Discharged from all manor of
Incumbrances and that the said George
Brock his heirs and assigns for and not
with standing any Act or thing by him
the said James Owen his heirs or assigns
or any other person committed and or
suffered shall or lawfully may forever
hereafter _____hold inso occupy profits
and Enjoy the same and every part
thereof with the appurtances without the
Same full lot ____ or Eviction of him
the said James Owens his heirs and
assigns or any other person whatsoever
And this Indenture further witnesseth
that Elizabeth Owen wife to the said
James Owen and party to the __ presents
doth freely and Voluntarily Relinquish
and release unto the said George Brock
his heirs and assigns all her right into
of dower in and to the said promises and
all actions and Demands which She might
have for or touching the same. In
witnesses whereof this parties aforesaid
to those ' presents hath Interchangably
