William Awood of King's Stanley made his will on November 8, 1595.[1] He mentions:
He made Petter Walkley, John Vick, and Tho[mas] Willing(?) his overseers.
William was buried at King's Stanley on November 20, 1595.[2] His will was was probated December 8, 1596.[1]

There were two Symons in King's Stanley at the time. A Symon was baptized in
1576, and buried in November 1597. There are wills from two branches to
consider:
·
John Awood (mentioned
above) does not name a son Symon in his 1571 will (died 1577), but his wife Alice in
her will (1588) mentions three additonal children (and one less), including Symon.
John and Alice's son John
the elder) mentions in his will (1606), his brothers John (the
younger) and Ambrose, with no mention of Symon (he also doesn't mention his
other siblings, but we know that John
the younger and Ambrose were
both living at that time).
·
In a different branch of the King's Stanley Awoods, Symon is mentioned in both
the wills of his father William (1595),
and brother John (December
1597).
From these dates, it looks like the Simon baptised 1576 was the son of John and
Alice and died November 1597. The other Simon was born about 1566 (before the
start of the register), married in 1588, and was living in December 1597.
Considering that a Symon marries in 1588, and children born to Symon follow
every two years: 1590 - a William, 1592, 1595, 1597 and 1599 (1590 was when
father's names were recorded, there may have been a child born 1588), that only
one Symon was married at that time in King's Stanley and that it was Symon son
of William. His subsequent marriages and deaths of his wives follow
sequentially, again suggesting just one Symon living then,

Symon was born before 1573/4, which were the start of recorded baptisms at King's Stanley. Based on his marriage in 1587/88, he was probably born about or before 1568.
He was the son of William (mentioned in his will),[1] and probably his wife Elynor.
Symon married Mary Syforde at King's Stanley on 1587/8-02-03.[2] They had:
On November 8, 1595, William Awood made his will, and bequethed to his son Symond "A Cover".[1] On December 14, John Awood of King's Stanley bequethed to his brother Symon £10, and "also a f[ink blot] of the best yeorves[?] I have and halfe a skore of my best [Eo?]gges", and to the daughter Katherine of Symon a "little roser"[8]
Mary was buried on January 28, 1602/3.[9] Simon married again Welthian Tratman on 20 June 1603 at King's Stanley.[10] They had, probably named after Simon's first wife:
He may have also had:
Welthian was buried on May 26, 1617.[13] Symon married Katheren Kimberly on November 14, 1619.[14] This may have been Katherine (Howe) Kimberley, who was widowed in 1617, and whose son (Thomas) married Symon's daughter Alice.
