William Bunnell, immigrant ancestor, was born in England, and settled early in New Haven. He married Ann, daughter of Benjamin Wilmot, who in his will dated August 7, 1669, mentions the four children of his daughter as heirs of his small estate. "Item twenty shillings to each of the foure children of my daughter Anne Bunnell, vizt: Benjamin & Nathaniell Bunnill & Lydia French & Mary Bunnell, the which I will to be payd them at or before ye terme of two years from ye date hereof." Probably both William and Ann were dead at that time.
William Bunnell, son of Benjamin and Mary (Brooks) Bunnell, born 1617
Cheshire, England, died 1671 New Haven, Ct. William married in 1640 to Ann
Wilmot, the daughter of Benjamin and Ann (Ladd) Wilmot, born 1614 England, and
died May 1653/4 New Haven, Ct.. He immigrated from Cheshire, England in 1638,
and was an early settler of Wallingford, Ct. He took oath of allegiance at New
Haven in 1657.
