Moses came when a youth from Ipswich, Suffolk county, England in 1635. He
would have been about 9. According to family tradition he sailed from London,
England and landed somewhere in Mass., probably either at Plymouth, or Boston.
He married Ann Winn, born according to family tradition, in Wales, or, according
to another account, England.
One of his greatgrandsons wrote in a letter that Moses "was young when he came
to New England, and was an apprentice to a joyner, and came with His Master. He
settled in Woburn, near Boston, married, and had seven Sons, besides Daughters,
and his sons all left Children." - He "could not read and write if I am not
misinformed."
