Dixie Coddington, Jr

Dixie Coddington, Jr. according to his memorial, was born about 1693 in Ireland and died when he was in the "83rd year of his age." (1) He was the fourth son of Dixie Coddington, Sr. and Ann Coddington. as named in his father's will, written 4 Jul 1727. His father died in 1728. (2) Dixie Coddington, Jr. had married Hannah Waller about two years before the death of his father. Their daughter Ann was born about 1725.
As stated he was the fourth child born to his father, Dixie Coddington, Sr.  He had at least three younger siblings.  After the death of his father, there must have been squabbling between the siblings over the distribution of their father's estate.  The law suits started in 1746.  The two youngest sisters, Jane Coddington (deceased wife of) Ralph Blundell, Elizabeth Coddington married to John Lyster, along with Mary, a widow of Nicholas Coddington were suing the rest of their siblings, including Dixie Coddington Jr.  The suits of Elizabeth Lyster continued until 13 Nov 1756 involving all of her children.  (3)
Dixie Coddington Jr's brother, Nicholas Coddington, wrote his will in 1737 naming his children, but not his wife Mary. The children's names correspond with the names of the widow Mary in the law suits. (4) His mother Ann Coddington wrote her will in 1736 naming Robert and Frances as children of her son Dixie. (5)
Hannah Waller, his wife, died 15 Jan 1768. Dixie Coddington, Jr. wrote his will 8 Jun 1768.  He died in September of 1776 and his will was proved 8 Oct 1776 naming his children, Ann Fenner, Mary wife of Rev. John Wynne, Jane, Elizabeth and Isabella. (6)
