Joseph Crowfoot was born in Springfield but removed to Wethersfield when that town granted him 20 acres of land in 1697.  He died in 1722 and his widow, Margaret, in 1733.  She named five of her children in her will plus two granddaughters. Thus we know that her children: Joseph, Ephraim, Elizabeth, Mehietabell and Sarah were all alive when her will was written March 14, 1733/4.  Margaret also names two granddaughters in her will: "Margaret and Mary".  Margaret's daughter, Margaret, had died in 1716, and she had a daughter named Margaret Atwell.  Margaret's daughter Mary was deceased and she had a daughter named Mary Wheadon.
