Robert Crosby was christened 30 Oct 1596 at Holme upon Spalding Morr, Yorkshire, England with his father registered as "John." (1) Unsourced notations claim that he married Constance Brigham on 22 Jul. 1622. Their first son was christened in Jan 1623. They had five children with only the three daughters living to adulthood. He died about 1640. An unsourced record claims he died 11 Nov 1640. In 1640 his three daughters were aged 13, 11 and 6 years old. His widow left for the colonies with the three daughters about three years later.
