"The birth record (of Mary Cutler) is in Charlestown (now Woburn) Massachusetts
where she married both Matthew Smith, was widowed, and then married Joseph
Dutton, long before their move to Connecticut.
Her father was a John Cutler who married Anna Woodmansey. Mary was their
7th child of nine. John Cutler was Legislator of the Massachusetts General
Court from 1691 until his death in 1694. "
