John Gilmore was born about 1685 and married Janet Sharp on 16 Nov 1708. (1) Seven children were baptized to "John Gilmure and Jannet Sharp" in Dunfermline.  The baptismal records of their children may lead us to other relatives. (2)

David Gilmore born 1716, the son of John Gilmore and Jannet Sharp, had a daughter Jannet baptized in 1745.  One of the witnesses was William Gilmore.  When Margery Gilmore, daughter of John Gilmore and Jannet Sharp was baptized in 1729, one of the witnesses was William Gilmure.

David Gilmore born 1716, the son of John Gilmore and Jannet Sharp, had a son John baptized 1749 and one of the witnesses was Robert Anderson, a smith from Crossford.  When Margery Gilmore, daughter of John Gilmore and Jannet Sharp was baptized in 1729, one of the witnesses was Robert Anderson.
