From Inhabitants of Kent County Maryland 1637-1787, pages 104 & 105:
Andrew Hanson died and left his wife Annicak Hanson, four smallchildren and "she
was big with the fifth child" her oldest son HanceHanson, she bestowed to Hoseph
Weeckes until Hance reached age 21, hebeing at present 9 years of age.
Kent County Court:
Oct 29, 1655...James Horner filed a complaint against Andrew Hanson(then
deceased),
Valerus Leo and Swan Swanson, statingthese Swedes owed him two barrels of corn
for his work.
Nov 29, 1655...Anicak Hanson filed a complaint against the estate ofValerus Leo
as he wasindebted to her (deceased) husband. Deposition of Thomas Hinson,Sheriff,
age 35 orthereabouts, was taken, as was that of Anicak Hanson, widow, aged 36 or
thereabouts.
Andrew Hanson possibly came to Maryland from New Sweden, Deleware.
