The first husband of Rose, Hugh Hillier, came to Salem in 1629.  He was about 17 and a fisherman.  He probably married Rose sometime around 1641/2 since their first child was born in Oct 1643.  He died in Yarmouth on 28 Jan 1647/8 leaving Rose with two young children.  She remarried to Thomas Huckins who was also a fisherman on 3 Nov 1648 in Barnstable. (1)  She had four more children with Thomas Huckins.  He died at sea along with her son Joseph on 9 Nov 1679.  She died in Barnstable in 1687 "at the age of 71." (2)

Marriage: By 1643 Rose_____; she m. (2) Eastham 3 November 1648 Thomas Huckens/Huggins (*Thomas Huckens...married with Rose Hollier" (PCR 8:45); "Thos. Huckens & Rose Hyllier wid." (MC 6:139); "Thomas Huggins and Widow Tillye marryed at Nocestt by Mr. Prince" (NEHGR 9:286); she died at Barnstable "being aged about 71 years in the year 1687" (MD 6:139).
