Hope Howland, the third child of John and Elizabeth Howland, was born 30 Aug 1629. (1) She married John Chipman about 1646 and they had 11 children. Her father, John Howland, wrote his will on 29 May 1672 and left "to my daughter Hope Chipman, 20s." (2) She died in Barnstable on 08 Jan 1683. (3)
The Brooke family descends from Elizabeth Chipman. The White family descends from Hope Chipman.
