Isaac Lewis was born 27 Sep 1724 in Barnstable, Barnstable, MA. (1)  His parents were Edward Lewis and Rebecca Lothrop. His parents seem to have moved to Guilford, CT around 1725 when Isaac just an infant.  Yet, he married Martha Bearse on 19 Feb 1747 back in Barnstable. (2)   None of his siblings returned to Barnstable which was over 190 miles away. He did however have to aunts and an uncle still living there. (3)
According to Amos Otis " his wife used her tongue more freely than other members desired." (4) They had six children born in Barnstable. (5)  Isaac Lewis was alive and living next to two of his son at the time of the 1790 census. (6)
