The photos above are the 3 first pages of a 6 page document. Its a deed for land being sold by John Geddy and his wife Patience and can be found at the North Carolina State Archives. Reel C.047.40004, Halifax Co N.C. Book 9 pages 460-465. In and of itself it is not a particularly important document except that on p 460 it shows that Patience is John Geddy's wife, on p 461 that she is Colonel Barnaby McKinnie's granddaughter and on p 462 that she is John McKinnie's daughter.
