John Moulthrop was born 5 Feb 1666/7 in New Haven, CT. (1) He married Abigail Bradley on 29 Jun 1692. (2) According to the Barbour Collection he died 14 Feb 1712/13 when he was 46 leaving his widow with several young children.. (3) His widow Abigail was named administrator and given custody of her youngest six children, John, Sarah, Daniel, Israel, John and Timothy. (4) The oldest child, Abigail, was over 18. The youngest two were twins, Joseph and Timothy, and they were only 4 years old. Three witnesses also came forward and cited the will of John Molthrop upon his deathbed. He knew he was leaving his widow with a lot of debt and very little moveable estate so he granted her land to sell to settle those debts. (5)
