Ephraim Philbrick was born 24 April 1656 (24th 2nd month) in Hampton, Massachusetts Bay Colony. (1)  His parents, John and Ann Philrick, and sister Sarah,  drowned on 20 Nov 1657 when he was only one year old. (2)
He may have married Elizabeth Knapp who became bewitched in 1671. (3)  During the King Phillip's War on 13 Mar 1676, the Indians burned all four Groton garrisons.  The survivors fled to Concord and other sale havens.  Two years later the settlers returned to rebuild.   Ephraim Philbrick definitely married Elizabeth Barron by about 1685.  Their first child, Abigail Philbrick, was born 6 Mar 1687 in Groton, Middlesex, MA. (4) We know his wife's name was Elizabeth Barron because on 2 Jul 1695, Elizabeth's father, Ellis Barron of Watertown, with his wife Lydia, conveyed property to "My Son in Law Ephraim Philbrook of Groton. (5) This deed was recorded 10 Apr 1717.
In 1692 Ephraim Philbrick and family were assigned to a garrison house in Groton, headed by Jonas Prescott. (6)

According to The Knapp Family in America (p. 8), and A History of the Chief English Families Bearing the Name of Knapp (p. 192) there were two Elizabeth Knapps that were 1st cousins.

The first was born 21 Apr 1655 to James Knapp and Elizabeth Warren of Watertown & Groton, Mass. Both histories state that she married Ephraim Philbrick. The Knapp Family in America states that she was bewitched in 1671. Neither source lists a marriage date. Nor do they list any children.

The second was born 23 Jul 1657 to William Knapp (brother of James Knapp mentioned above) and Margaret _____________ (Dean/Deane) of Watertown, Mass. Both histories state that she married Samuel Scripture. The first source states that he was from Cambridge and they married on 11 Sep 1674. Neither source lists any children, but there are ample sources that list the descendants of this marriage.

In this tree I have Samuel Scripture's wife as the d/o William Knapp. If this is true, then Elizabeth "The Possessed" (or the young girl that was possessed in the home of the Williards) married Ephraim Philbrick as the two above sources contend. If this theory is true, then Elizabeth the witch likely had no children, and died not long after marriage. It is possible that Ephraim Philbrick married (2) Elizabeth Baron.
