"John Post and wife settled at Saybrook, where their four eldest children were
born. They removed to Norwich in 1660. His home lot was on the opposite side of
the street from that of his father-in-law, William Hyde, and was, in 1858, in
the possession of two of his descendants. - Mr. Post was an active, influential
man in the town. His wife d. at Norwich, 13 November, 1703. He survived her, and
d. there 10 February, 1711, aged 83, and is buried in the old cemetery near the
church at Norwich Town."
