Anne Rastell married Nicholas Cawton on 17 Aug 1595 in
St. Peter at Arches church, Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England. (1) Judging from the
marriage we assume she was born about 1575. Anne and Nicholas had at least four
daughters. The oldest two were married when her husband wrote his will in
Jan 1630/1631. He was probably deceased when their two youngest daughters
married in 1632. An interesting fact is that Jane and Thomasine married on
the same date: 29 May 1632, but in different churches.
Anne wrote her will Aug 1636 mentioning: Alice Thorpe wife of William Thorpe,
Jane Thorpe daughter of William Thorpe, John Dawson son of William Dawson,
Elizabeth Dawson daughter of William Dawson, James and Richard Burwill sons of
William Burwill, and William Coddington and Thomasine Coddington. (2) All four
of her daughters married men by the name of William.
