Laredo Scene of Wedding Monday
Of interest to society circles in San Antonio, Laredo, and Monterrey where the young people are well known was the marriage performed Monday afternoon in the chapel of Christ Episcopal of Laredo.  The bride was Miss Josephine Tobin, daughter of Mrs. W. J. Tobin, of San Antonio.  The groom was Jack Shaw, Jr., son of Mrs. J. E. Shaw, of Monterrey.  the ring ceremony was said by the Rev. C. W. Cook at 2:30 o'clock.
The two were unattended.  Guests at the ceremony were the groom's mother, Mrs. J. E. Shaw, his sister and brother, Miss Lucy and Master David.  The party left immediately for Monterrey.
The bride was becomingly gowned in navy-blue triple sheer dress with a three-quarters length coat.  Her accessories were navy.  Mrs. Shaw is a member of an old pioneer family of San Antonio, her father and uncle were at one time mayor of San Antonio.  Last year she attended an exclusive girls' school in the east, being popular there as well as in her home town.
Mr. Shaw is connected in business in Monterrey, where the young couple will make their home.

Jack attended Kerrville Texas Academy. He married to Josephine Tobin  when he was 20. They divorced and he remarried to his secretary, Ester Cejudo. He was a good uncle and provided a lot of fun for his nephews, including letting them drive his cars when they were about 14. He was a mining engineer, owning mines all over northern Mexico. He was a great swimmer. During WWII he was with the FBI and was posted in Nicaragua.
