A son, John, was graduated at Yale College in 1740, and another in 1747.
Colonel Whiting was during his lifetime one of the Governor's Assistants, a
Judge in the Superior Court, and a Judge in the Probate Court. He and
Hannah both left large estates, and from them Whiting street derives its name.
