  • His will was dated on 18 September 1756 Mentioned wife, not named; son Benjamin Park Jr., five shillings; beloved son Christopher Parke, five shillings; well beloved sons Rufus Parke and Amaziah Parke all the lands belonging to me in said Voluntown to be divided equally between them and to Rufus Parke the home lot if he lives to come home and if not to Amaziah Parke; whoever has the home lot to take care of their mother; well beloved brother Joseph Parke to be Executor. This will was offered for probate at Plainfield, Nov. 20, 1756, and "disallowed." The estate was distributed May 9, 1757 to Jemima, fourth daughter; Lydia, youngest daughter, Christopher, 2nd son by deed had his full share, Amaziah, the youngest son, May the eldest daughter, Benjamin, eldest son, Prudence, the 3d daughter and Freelove. Both the will and "Distribution Paper" are on file in the state Library at Hartford. Benjamin died at the battle of Crown Point, New York.5
  • In May 1757 Distribution of the estate of Benjamin Parke of Voluntown, to his widow Mary, and children Benjamin, eldest son; Mary, eldest daughter; Christopher, second son; Freelove, daughter; Prudence, third daughter; Jemima, fourth daughter; Amaziah, youngest son; and Lydia, youngest daughter.6
