Know all men by these presents that I Godsden Browder of the district of Williamsburgh in the State aforesaid in Consideration of the Sum of One Hundred and fifty dollars to me paid by Edward J. Porter of the Village of Kingstree in Willliamsburgh District in the State aforesaid Have Granted, bargained, Sold and released and by these presents Do Grant bargain Sell and release unto the Said Edward J. Porter and h is heirs forever all that certain piece parcel and tract of land lying being and Situate in the District of Williamsburgh in the State aforesaid containing one hundred Acres and having Such Shape and boundaries as a plat thereof made by Joseph C Bursep? D. S. on the 20 day of October A D 1857 annexed here to represents being bounded on the South by the Pullie? Road leading from Kingstree to Murrays ferry on the West by lands of James M. Staggers Said to be Surveyed for C. T. Baugham and the North by land of James M. Staggers Said be Surveyed for C. T. Baugham and an the East by lands of the Said James M. Staggers. TOGETHER with all and singular the Rights members Hereditaments and appurtenances to the Said premises belonging or in anywise incident or appertaining. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD all and Singular the premises before mentioned unto the Said Edward J. Porter his heirs and assigns forever And I do hereby bind myself and my heirs Executors, and administrators to Warrant and forever defend all and Singular the Said premises unto the Said Edward J. Porter his heirs and assigns, against me and my heirs, and all other persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same, or any part thereof
Witness my hand and Seal this fourteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and fifty nine and in the eighty third year of the Sovereignty and Independence of the United States of America

Browder the wife of the within named Gadsden Browder did this day appear before me and upon being privately and separately examined by me did declare that she does freely voluntarily and without any compulsion dread or fear of any person or persons whomsoever renounce release and forever relinquish unto the within named Edward J. Porter his heirs and assigns, all her interest and estate, and also all her right and claims of dower, of, in or to, all and Singular the premises within mentioned and released
