                                Know all Men by these Presents, that I, Gadsden Browder of Williamsburg County, in the State aforesaid for and in consideration of the Sum of Twenty eight Dollars to me in hand paid at and before the sealing of these Presents by J. Marion Staggers, in the State aforesaid have granted, bargained, sold and released, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and release unto the Said J. Marion Staggers all my right, title and interest in a certain Town Lot in the Town of Kingstree, County of Williamsburg, and State aforesaid, and Known in the Town Plat as No 115.

Bounded on the North by a Street (not named) South by Lot No 116, East by Calhoun Street and West by Lot No 82.

Together with all and singular the Rights, Members, Hereditaments, and Appurtenances to the Said Premises belonging, or in anywise incident or appertaining.

To have and to hold all and singular the Said premises before mentioned, unto the Said J. Marion Staggers, his Heirs and Afsigns forever.  And I do hereby bind myself, my Heirs, Executors and Administrators to warrant and forever defend all and singular the Said premises unto the Said J. Marion Staggers, his Heirs and Afsigns, against me and my Heirs, and all and every other person lawfully claiming or to claim the Same, or any part thereof.

Witness my Hand and Seal this sixth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy one, and in the ninety fifth year of the Sovereignty and Independence of the United States of America.

Jacobs, Judge of Probate do hereby certify unto all whom it may concern, that Emma Browder, the wife of the within named Gadsden Browder, did this day appear before me, and upon being privately and separately examined by me, did declare, that she does freely, voluntarily and without any compulsion, dread or fear of any person or persons whomsoever, renounce, release, and forever relinquish unto the within named James Marion Staggers his heirs and afsigns all her interest and estate and also all her right and claim of dower, of, in, or to all and singular the premises within mentioned as released.
