Know all men by these presents that I James M. Staggers of the District of Williamsburgh in the State aforesaid in Consideration of the Sum of Fifty Dollars to me in hand paid by Gadson Brower [Browder] of the District of Williamsburgh in the State aforesaid have granted bargained Sold and released and by these presents Do Grant, bargains, Sell and release unto the Said Gadson Browder his heirs executors administrators and assigns a certain half acre lot of land lying being and Situated in the Village of Kingstree in the District of Williamsburgh and State aforesaid and known in the plat of Said Village as lot numbered one hundred and fifteen (115) Said lot being Sold by W. R. Nelso Sheriff and purchased by me. Together with all and Singular the Rights Members hereditaments and appurtenances to the Said premises belonging or in any wise incident or appertaining. To have and to hold all and Singular the premises before mentioned unto the Said Gadson Browder his heirs and assigns forever and I do hereby bind myself my heirs executors and administrators to Warrant and forever defend all and Singular the Said premises unto the Said Gadson Browder his heirs and assigns against me and my heirs lawfully claiming or to claim the Same or any part thereof. Witness my hand and Seal this Eighteenth day of May in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Sixty three.
