                                Know all men by these presents that I Martin Browder of the State and District aforesaid In consideration of the sum of One hundred and twenty five dollars to me paid by David Hodge the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained, sold, and released and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and release unto the said David Hodge a certain parcel or tract of Land containing two hundred and  twelve acres [2/2 written in between lines here] more or less situated in the District aforesaid on the South side of Black River on the two Mike? Bay bounded on the North side on lands of the same tract on the south by Joseph Gambles Land on the East by lands called the Glensland on the West by a part of the same tract, a part of the Lands granted to John Browder and myself on the 8 th day of October 1851 and conveyed to John Browder and myself on the twenty first day of January Anno Domini 1853 Together with all and singular the rights members hereditaments appurtainances to the said Premises belonging or in any wise incident or appertaining, To have and to hold all and Singular the premises aforesaid unto the Said David Hodge his heirs and assigns forever and I do hereby warrant and forever defend the Said premises against My self and against my heirs but do not warrant or defend against any other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the Same or any part thereof.  Witness my hand and Seal this 10th February year of our Lord 1853 and in 77th of American indipendance

                                Personally appeared before me R. F. Scott who being duly Sworn deposeth and saithe that he was present and saw Martin make, act and deed for the uses and purposes mentioned and that Beryam Windham with himself subscribed his names as witness to the execution
