STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA
Know all men by these Presents that we Martin Browder & Eliza [beth has been scratched out] Browder of Williamsburgh District and State aforesaid for & in Consideration of Eighteen Dollars to us in hand paid by James Browder of the District & State aforesaid Have granted, bargained, Sold & released and by these Presents do Grant, bargain, Sell & Release unto the Said James Browder all that plantation or tract of land granted to Stephen Atkinson, bounded on the North by Silas Bradshaw’s land & all other Sides by the Same grant together with all & Singular the rights members, hereditaments & appurtenances to the Said premises belonging or in any wise incident in appertaining, to have & to hold all & Singular the premises above Mentioned unto the Said James Browder his heirs & assigns forever: And we do hereby bind Ourselves, our heirs Executors Administrators to warrant & forever defend all & Singular the premises aforesaid, until the Said James Browder his heirs & assigns against ourselves & our heirs and against persons lawfully claiming or to claim the Same or any part thereof
In Witness whereof we have hereunto Set our hands and Seals, this twenty Sixth day of April Anno Domini One thousand hundred & fifty two and the Seventy Sixth year of the Sovereign Independence of the United States of America
