It was Tuesday, December 24, 1956, Christmas Eve. Lloyd and Beverly Higgins, who lived near us in Narimasu, Japan, hosted an open house Christmas party. Great fun was had by all. We didn't do anything special, just sit around and talk but that can be great fun when you are with great friends, like these. There were about 18 people in attendance. There were 8 men from Camp Owada, some of which were married but whose wives were back in the States. In addition to these were Hummels, Carpenters, Tedders, Huffs and, of course, Higgins. It was supposed to be a party where people come and go to make room for others but everyone was having so much fun, no one wanted to go - so we had a house full. I'll put names with the ones I know and can remember. If anyone can help me out with names or additional information it will be appreciated. Just send me an E Mail.
