 Will of  HENRY HALL  1808 - 1837  of Buriton

 

In the Name of God Amen I HENRY HALL of  Buriton in the County of Hampshire, Wheelwright  being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner following /That is to say/ First I desire to be decently and privately buried with as little expense as may be within nine months after my decease, to make sale of part of my working tools (or other property) to the amount of Seven Pounds to put and place the same out of interest, on Government or some other Good and sufficient real Security, which sum with interest on the same. I give and bequeath unto my son GEORGE HALL, when he is of the age of fourteen years old, for the purpose of apprenticing him to some trade. I give and bequeath unto my wife SARAH HALL, all and every other, my personal Estate and Effects of what nature or kind Soever, and ware soever situate of which I may die possessed or entitled unto at the time of my decease.  after payment of all my just and lawful debts and funeral expenses and also Collect and get in all my Book debts and all other debts that may be due and owing to me at the time of my decease within six months after my death. And I do hereby make ordain, constitute and appoint JOHN STENT, of Buriton in the said County of Hampshire Bricklayer Executor of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former or other Wills or Testaments by me at any time heretofore made, In witness wareof  I the said HENRY HALL, the Testator, have set my hand and seal this Thirty first day of October in the year of Our Lord One thousand, eight hundred and thirty seven .

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the said Testator  HENRY HALL  as and for Signed:- his Last Will and Testament, in the presence of                    HENRY HALL,  of us, who  at his request  in the presence of each other, have subscribed our names as Witnesses hereto.

Personally appeared before me this day, JOHN STENT, of Buriton in the County of Southampton , Bricklayer, the sole executor within named and made oath that the within paper writing contains the Last Will and Testament of the within named Testator HENRY HALL, and that he would well and faithfully execute the same as far as the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said deceased Will, thereto extend? and the law require him. And he lastly made oath that the Goods , Chattels and Credits of the said deceased, did not, at the time of his decease, amount in value to the sum of One Hundred Pounds.
