Know all men by these presents that I Henry Burnam,
of the County of Madison, and commonwealth of Kentucky have ordained, constituted,
and appointed my freind and brother, John Burnam, of the County and commonwealth
aforesaid my true and lawful Attorney for me. And in my name to settle
and determine all matters of disputes and to recieve and receipt for all
sums of money which may be comming to me in the State of North Carolina
by my Intermarriage with Susannah Seaton, my wife. And I do hereby authorize
my said Attorney to settle any and all disputes of any by suit arbetration
or otherwise as my said Attorney may think proper, and I do hereby ratify
and confirm whatsoever my said Attorney may lawfully do in and about the
premises in as full and ample a manner as I myself might or could do were
I personally present.

and seal this 18th day of February 1806.
