Joshua Burnam

       S.F.  45658.                                                                                                       N.H. Service.

March 31, 1818, Joshua Burnam, of Milford, New Hampshire, aged 64 years, deposed ;
    that he enlisted in April, 1775 at Milford, N.H. ( then called Amherst ), under Capt. Josiah Crosby, Col. James Read,
N.H. line, for 8 months;, and at the end of his term he re-enlisted under Capt. Jpones in same regiment, for one year, and served out his term;
    was at Bunker Hill Battle, and served also in New York, Philadelphia, and Canada; was discharged by the proclamation
of an officer at a place called Aesopus, formerly Kingston, New York;
    that for the last four years he has been lame in one of his ankles.

      in presence of Solomon Kittredge and Nath' ; Shattuck. July 6, 1818 Israel Burnam, of Lyndeborough, N.H., testified
to service with Joshua Burnam for one year under Capt. Jones ; and that while deponent left about two weeks before his
term was out on a furlough, Joshua, who lived in same town with deponet, did not return for about three weeks after him.

      Same day, Joseph Leavitt, of Amherst, N.H., testified to service with Burnam under Capt. Jones; that when on Jan. 1, 1777  he left the regiment Joshua was sick and unable to travel, and deponent left him there.

      March 31, 1818, Nathaniel Shattck, of Amherst, N.H., testified to acquaintance with Burnam for 14 years; that he
knows he has met with misfortune in the buisness of a trader, and thinks him in need of a pension.

   MEMORANDUM,   name not on rolls but admitted for one year's service on testimony of two witnesses, certtified to
as crediable.
    Claim allowed and certificate 11024, N.H. Agency, was issued May 24, 1819, Act of March 18, 1818.
July 5, 1820, Joshua Burnam, of Milfordm aged 66 years, testified that he was a farmer by occupation and his family,
residing with him, consists of a wife.

                    Pension continued.
