July 2, 1832, Pike G. Burnham, of Jackson, Coos County, New Hampshire, aged 81 years, deposed:
that he enlisted in August
, 1777, at Durham, N. H., under Capt. Smith Emerson, Col. Tash, and served
in New York state until discharged; served 3 months;
that he re-enlisted in July,
1780, as substitute for JAMES DAVIS, of Durham, under Capt. Timothy Emerson,
Col. Bartlett of Nottingham, his second lieutenant being James Burnham,
of Rochester; served at West Point and Stony Point, being at the latter
place when Arnold fled to the British vessel and saw him go on board; was
at the execution of Andre; served three months.

June 20, 1854, Polly Burnham,
of Jackson, aged 85 years, deposed:
that she is the widow of
Pike G. Burnham, Revolutionary pensioner, a former resident of Adams, Coos
County, now Jackson, Carroll Co., N. H., who died at Jackson, Oct. 16,
1841;
and that she was married
to him a Jackson, by Elder Daniel Elkins, a Freewill Baptist minister,
May 13, 1816.

both of Adams, is recorded as stated.
