Union Sunday School, Cloughfoot

Established as a branch of the Union Sunday School, Todmorden on the upper floor of a cottage at Clough Foot by Methodists, William Mitchell, Abraham Earnshaw and Ellis Hollows, around 1817.

By 1828, larger accommodation was needed and Bridge Street School was built

Union Sunday School, Gauxholme

Aka The Union School. Established in Gauxholme Workhouse. It was opened by John and Joshua Fielden. It subsequently moved to Mount Pleasant

Built by subscription in 1818. Recorded in 1845

Union Sunday School, Todmorden

A non-denominational school established around 1816 with support from John Fielden, the curate of St Mary's Church, and others. It was in a building on the site of the town hall.

Unitarian School, Todmorden

Established in 1825, by the Unitarians under the leadership of John Fielden.

It was a part of the Unitarian Chapel.

In 1830, it was used as a Sunday School for working children who could not attend the Unitarian Day School.

The building was used as a Chapel until the Unitarian Church was built in 1869.

It was extended and reopened as a Sunday School on 31st March 1900.

The building was used as a Sunday School until the late 20th century.

It has been converted into housing known as The Fieldens.

United Methodist Free Church Sabbath School, Walsden

The Square. Built around 18?? by Methodists James Fielden and Joseph Dearden to educate the workers on the railway between Todmorden & Walsden. The school was held in a room above two cottages. In 1861, when it had become too small, it was superseded by the chapel and the school at Inchfield Bottom United Free Methodist Chapel

Utley's School, Sowerby Bridge

In the mid-19th century, Jonathan Utley ran a small private school in Sowerby Bridge.

His son, Barker, was also schoolmaster here

Uttley's School, Brighouse

In the early 19th century, William Uttley kept a boarding school in Brighouse
