Ovenden woman gassed in London
hotel and a Mytholmroyd man found unconscious. A
suicide pact was alleged and he was charged with murder but acquitted
at the Old Bailey. He was sent to prison for twelve months for
attempted suicide

Tenders worth £26,046 accepted for construction

Consistory Court into proposed demolition of King

- Friday, 3rd October 1930:
Miss Nettleton, the missing Halifax
missionary, beheaded by rebels in China
- Tuesday, 14th October 1930:
Arnold Binns, of Hebden Bridge, completed the
journey from John o' Groats to Lands End on roller skates, which he
started on September 18
