John and Martha Reynolds had three chldren, William Payne, James and Lucy Ann. Martha died while her children were young. The date listed in John's will is: November 21, 1837, but the family Bible has her death date as June 1, 1831. She is buried in the Old Prospect Cemetery, and the tombstone says January 1, 1834. This makes the most sense as Lucy Ann was born in June 1833 and died Dec. 1833. She is buried next to Martha.
John married Mary Head Overton on April 15, 1804, she was the daughter of Lewis James Overton and Sarah Gibbs. She was the widow of William H. Tureman, with whom she had 5 sons. John and Mary Clatterbuck had one child together, Sarah Francis Clatterbuck.
John was an early member of the Dry Fork Baptist Church. John died on March 2, 1868 and Mary died on August 11, 1876. He and Mary are buried in the church cemetery.

After James died Catherine married Aaron Richardson on January 9, 1857.
