Photo of Ruben and Mabel courtesy of John McDermid, who states "This photo triggers what I remember of my Grandparents. Mabel liked the rocker. The chair in which my grandfather is sitting in was his favorite. He always came in from work in time to listen to Paul Harvey before lunch on the radio (table behind). On the right, and facing almost where they are looking, was a oil burner stove. Grandma always got up first in the morning and when it was cold she lit the stove. I really enjoyed sitting in front of that stove on a cold morning. The dining room was off to the right. I remember that it was a wooden floor with linoleum in the middle. It was not glued down and had some domes and buckles in it. Made a great place to play with a little toy car!"
