262Mrs. Burgoon Died at Hospital
Despite the utmost efforts to save her life, Mrs. Emma Jane Burgoon, injured in an automobile accident here March 12, died this morning at 6:35 at Toledo Hospital. Her death was due to pneumonia and a broken back.
Funeral services will be held here Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the S. W. Bowman home on the corner of East Wooster and Summit streets where she had been housekeeper for nearly two years. Rev. J. M. Guyer, of Findlay, will officiate. The body will be laid to rest in the Mausoleum. The remains were brought to this city today by Young’s ambulance.
She was born in a farm in Missouri February 25, 1886, and was 46 years, one month and four days old at the time of her death. She came to Bowling Green about 1905. On April 12, 1912 she was united in marriage with W. A. Burgoon of the Dixie Tire Shop, Findlay for the last twelve years.
She was a member of the Findlay Church of God and of the Semper Felix Club of Findlay. She was a most willing worker, always cheerful, friendly, always thinking of someone else’s comfort. She leaves many friends.
Surviving are her husband, her parents, W. H. and Martha Long of No. 1108 East Wooster, this city; and six sisters: Mrs. Sadie Solether at home; Mrs. Ida Drake, of Toledo; Mrs. Lucy Sly and Mrs. Clara Bullis, of Bowling Green; Mrs. Carrie Rudd of Tontogany; and Mrs. Martha Hentges of Weston.
