Welcome to the John and Charlotte Ross and Family Website!
This website is designed by and for the descendants of John Ross and Charlotte Natcher Ross, especially those who would like to trace their Scotch-Irish ancestry. On this page you will find:
John Ross was born 13 September 1750. He was probably born in Ireland of Scottish parents. In March 1779, he married Charlotte Natcher. Charlotte was born 10 November 1760. Her parents were Johann Balthasar Knortzer and Maria Barbara Rudisill. (They wre born in Germany.) John Ross served in the Revolutionary War (See picture at left) as an Ensign, Lieutenant, and Quartermaster in regiments from York County, Pennsylvania. After the war, John and Charlotte moved to Cadiz, Harrison County, Ohio. On 8 September 1833, John died. He was buried in Old Cadiz Cemetery. Charlotte moved to Morgan County, Ohio, to live with her son, William. She died there in 1845.
         John and Charlotte had nine children:
