The birth record of son, James, lists his mother as Ann (Campbell) McBurnie. Unfortunately, his death record lists his mother as Helen, maiden name unknown. Son William's death record named Agnes (Campbell) McBurnie as his mother. Ann/Agnes? Campbell was born say 1782. She married James (McBurnie) McBirnie say 1800. As of circa 1800,her married name was McBirnie. Ann/Agnes? Campbell died.

Jane/June? (McBurney) McBirnie was born circa 1806 in Scotland. According to the 1841 Scottish census, she was NOT born in Lanark.1 She appeared on the census of 7 June 1841 in the household of William (McBirney) (McBurney) McBirnie and Mary McAllister at Cailin Croft South Row, Gartsherrie Quoad Sacra Parish, Parish of Old Monkland, Lanark, Scotland.1 Jane/June? (McBurney) McBirnie died after 1841. It is difficult to tell from the 1841 Scottish census record whether the name is Jane or June. For search purposes, I am speculating that Jane/June was a sister of William and James MacBurney. She shows up in the house of William (born in 1811) MacBurney in the 1841 census in Gartsherrie (Coatbridge) Old Monkland, Lanark. It is possible that she was a brother's wife or a cousin. Unfortunately, the 1841 census does not have sufficient information to allow me to determine the specific relationship.
