Margaret/Marguerite Payne, daughter of Thomas Jasper Payne and Ella 'Ellie' McBurney, was born on 12 January 1908 at Turkeyville, VA.1 Margaret/Marguerite Payne died on 18 September 1943 at Providence Hospital, Washington, DC, at age 35; This obituary appears to be from the Brethren in Christ Mission in Dayton, Ohio:

TAYLOR - Marguerite Payne Taylor, the daughter of Thomas & Ella Payne, was born in Turkeyville, Va., on Jan. 12, 1908, and departed this life in the Providence Hospital of Washington, D.C., at 2:20 P.M., Saturday, Sept. 18, 1943, at the age of 35 years, 8 months & 6 days.
She was united in marriage to Querney O[rville] Taylor on August 21, 1933, at San Diego, Calif. To this union were born two children, one son and one daughter. Those who preceded her in death were her dear parents, her mother on Oct. 27, 1918, at the age of 36 years, 7 months and 19 days, her father Nov. 28th, 1924, at the age of 44 years, 8 months and
14 days.
Those who remain to mourn her departure are her husband & two children, Charles Richard and Patricia Gonalee, also her brother & three sisters, Walter Payne of Seattle, Washington, Gladys, Edna and Sophia of Harrisburg, PA. Uncles, aunts & other relatives survive her.
On March 24th, Sr. Taylor became a member of the Brethren in Christ church and was baptized at the age of 10 years. After she moved to Washington, D.C., she united with the Church of the Brethren and continued her membership therin until severed by the providential hand of death. Sr. Taylor had been in ill health for some time. Finally she had to give up & was removed to the hospital & all that was done by the physicians, nurses & kind hands of loved ones to prolong her life
was of no avail. Instead of her recovery the dear Lord permitted it otherwise & she passed out into the great beyond.
Funeral services were held in the Brethren in Christ Mission in chapel of Dayton, Ohio on Sept. 20, 1943, conducted by Bish W. H. Boyer & Eld. O. D.? Kerr. The text was Job 16:22. "When a few years are come, then I shall go the way whence I shall not return."
Interment was made in Fairview cemetery near Englewood.

This was followed by a funeral notice:

I don't know if there is a connection or not but I'm searching for info on WIlliam Robert McBurney born in Ayr on April 10, 1846.
    Per Tom McBirnie, Jr.:

WILLIAM [ROBERT] MCBURNEY- BROTHER OF ALEXANDER MCBIRNIE I
-Born 1843/1844 in Dalry, Ayrshire, Scotland, the son of William McBurney and Mary _______ (birth year per the 1851 and 1861 Scottish censuses)
-NOTE: in later censuses William indicated he was younger. For example, in the 1900 US census he said that he was born in JUL 1846. Recent family trees have a date of birth of 10 APR 1846.
-NOTE: William?s mother was possibly Mary McAllister, mother of Alexander McBurney/McBirnie. However, William?s mother may have been a later wife of his father, whose name was William.
