This site is dedicated to the memory of Brian Oster who spent many hours and much money compiling a database of early Missouri marriages. Genealogy was his passion and his work became the "Go To" site for researchers looking for marriages in the Missouri counties of Crawford, Franklin, Jefferson, Iron, St. Francois, and Washington Counties. When he died, we all feared his work was lost. Fortunately, a CD of his database was secured and is the core of this site. Most of the records are of marriages, though Franklin and Washington have birth records and Washington has some obituaries.

Enter one of the marrige partner names INSIDE A PAIR OF QUOTATION MARKS,
example: "Jane Doe"
This will yeild a list of links to pages with that specific name in ALL COUNTIES. Click a link, then use the CTR-F "FIND" function on your computer to go to the entry. You can narrow the search to one county by adding the county OUTSIDE the quotation marks.
example: "Jane Doe" Washington
This will yeild a list of links to pages with that specific name in JUST THAT COUNTY.
Remember, the search engine will ONLY look for what you entered, so you may have to search for several spelling variations.
