William Walton CAWTHORN & Anne TROWER
William, 1st child of Joseph and Hannah CAWTHORN, was born in 1834 in Upwell, Norfolk; and named after his maternal
grand father, William WALTON of Marston Moretaine, Bedfordshire.
He married Anne, daughter of Matthew & Rebecca TROWER of Lots Bridge on 14 May 1857 at St Peter's Church,
Upwell, Norfolk. Childhood sweethearts? as they had lived very near to each other at Lots Bridge.

Three Holes Methodist Chapel - William Walton Cawthorn bought the original building
[a navvies hostel] to turn into a Methodist Chapel in 1855.
In 1861, we find William, Anne and their young sons living at Lot's Bridge:

Anne died 18 February 1862 of "diseased lungs". She was buried at Upwell St Peter's on 21 February 1862.
There is no sign of her headstone.
In October 1866, William re-married to Eliza Jane MEANS
