Stormin' Norman PALMER
Stormin' Norman Does It!
As planned on Sunday 15th June 2003, and in glorious sunshine, Norman Palmer aged 77 took to the air,
strapped to the top wing of a Stearman biplane with the 'Utterly Butterly Display Team'.
at the Old Buckenham Airfield, Attleborough, Norfolk, U.K.
Norman bravely faced his ordeal knowing he was doing it to raise morny for Cancer related charities:
The Anthony Nolan Trust and Cancer Research UK.
So far he has raised 1,600 and the total is climbing daily as the donations roll in.
Norman has publicised this stunt far and wide to try and reach his target of
2,000, with appearances on radio, in the papers and across the globe on this
PALMER Family History website.
Finally Norman would like to thank those who have kindly sent donations, and he
promises to be back on his 80th birthday for another 10,000 foot tandem
freefall parachute jump in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Many of you will remember meeting Norman at the PALMER Gathering that we had in September 2002.
He is a cousin on the Ryfealyer DaSilva PALMER branch of the tree.
Norman has lost numerous members of his family and close friends to cancer, and has made it his business to
raise money for research into the disease. He has previously made a freefall parachute jump on his
75th birthday in aid of Cancer Research as a result of which he raised 3,151.36 - picture below.
