John & Elizabeth SCOTT

        There is very little information about this John SCOTT, apart from his name on his son's marriage 
        certificate!  By supposition, he was born about 1785 in Welney.  When and where he married 
        Elizabeth, I have no idea, but it wasn't in Welney!  So I am still working my way round the surrounding
        parishes to see if I can trace their marriage entry.

        Using the Cambridgeshire Family History Society Transcripts of the Welney Parish Registers, I have 
        worked out that John & Elizabeth had the following children - but I could be wrong!

        By the time of the 1841 England Census, Elizabeth is widowed and living with her daughter,
        Sarah in Brimstone Hill [the old name for Christchurch]:
        
            "Between the 16 feet River and the old Croft River from the Black Bull Bridge to Padgetts Drove
        to a Green drove opposite John Hodson's boarded cottage by the said Green Drove to Brimstone Hill
        and the Old croft and by the Old Croft to the Black Bull Bridge."
